The Challenge

An industrial wholesaler working across medical, mining, and air systems was preparing a major overhaul of their product listings. But like many businesses at this stage, their product data was all over the place — scattered across spreadsheets, misaligned between systems, full of duplicates, and missing key details.

The team was spending hours trying to clean and match inventory between BigCommerce and MYOB — and they were still coming up short.

• Standardised the raw data: Reformatted specs, grouped filter types, mapped brand names, and fixed naming issues to create a clean, structured list.
• Removed duplicates and consolidated variants: Merged OEM and housing fields, removed duplications while preserving variant logic.
• Built SEO-optimised listings for BigCommerce: Generated import-ready rows with names, HTML content, meta tags, image URLs, and weight fields.
• Mapped images for automated upload: Created PythonGroups sheet for uploader, linked brand and filter types to correct folders.
• Formatted BigCommerce import files: Structured image rows to match platform rules and eliminated upload errors.
• Synced MYOB pricing: Matched cleaned parts with MYOB, flagged unmatched SKUs, and updated pricing in bulk.
